Born in Salt Lake City in 1963 and raised in Eastern Oregon, Jed Thomas received his BFA in painting from Brigham Young University (’90) and MFA in printmaking from Arizona State University (’93). His work is held in various public collections including the Gilkey Graphic Arts Center of the Portland Art Museum; the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico; the Corcoran Collection in Washington, DC; and the Udinotti Museum of Figurative Art in Paradise Valley, Arizona; among others. He has had numerous solo exhibitions at galleries across the country including the Udinotti Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona; the Augen Gallery in Portland, Oregon; and Quartersaw and Margo Jacobsen galleries in Portland Oregon. His work has also been featured in dozens of group exhibitions at galleries and museums including the Froelick Gallery in Portland, Oregon; the Hidell Brooks Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina; and the Portland Art Museum. Thomas has donated his work to local non-profits and charity auctions like the Cascade AIDS Project, the Oregon College of Arts and Crafts, Sitka Center for the Arts and Ecology, and Family Building Blocks. Thomas and his wife Corinne lived in Oregon for many year and now live in Park City, UT.
